Skagit Investments together with investholding Finam have announced the creation of the "FinSight Ventures" fund, the focus of which will be targeting worthwhile investments in the sphere of financial technology; the target size of the fund is 50 to 100 million dollars. The majority of the fund's investments will be in businesses located in the following regions: North America, Southeast Asia and Africa.
Since 2005, FinTech (financial technology) has been a key focus of the Skagit team. In 2013, private investments in the FinTech sector totaled $ 3 billion, which is 3 times more than 3 years ago - 950 million (according to research by CB Insights).
